German outfit Werder Bremen has completed the signing of Belgian-born forward of Congolese descent, Samuel Mbangula.
The club announced the acquisition of the attacker on Wednesday, July 23.
“Now he’s arrived, and with it, another new signing for Werder Bremen is confirmed: Belgian U21 international Samuel Mbangula is moving from Juventus Turin to SV Werder Bremen,” Werder Bremen announced.
Speaking on the arrival of the new attacker, Peter Niemeyer, head of professional football at the Green-Whites, said the club is delighted with the signing.
“We are delighted that we were able to sign Samuel and that he has decided to stay with Werder Bremen long-term. We see a lot of potential in him. He has received excellent training in Belgium and especially at Juve, and last season he demonstrated his quality at the highest level with the Juventus professionals. For us, this is a transfer that we have implemented with full conviction,” he said.
Peter Niemeyer added, “We have always said that we are willing to invest if we are convinced of a player and his potential. This is absolutely the case with Samuel. We are convinced that his quality will help us directly,” explains Peter Niemeyer, Head of Professional Football at Werder Bremen.”
The new signing, Samuel Mbangula, has also expressed his excitement with the move and looks forward to playing his first match for the German Bundesliga club.
