Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué continued to express his sentiments against Real Madrid, taking advantage of their match against Elche to comment on a penalty decision. Piqué, who already expressed criticism of Real Madrid’s acquisition of Gareth Bale, described the penalty awarded during the Real Madrid vs. Elche match as a “comedy.”
On his Twitter account, Piqué wrote, “Watching a comedy on C+Liga… It always goes well at this time of night.”
Earlier, Piqué had questioned the financing of Gareth Bale’s transfer, suggesting Real Madrid had received support from the Spanish banking group Bankia. However, Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, refuted Piqué’s claim, stating that the information was false and that Bale’s transfer did not involve credit.
