Bayern Munich’s win over FC St. Pauli carved out a 6-point cushion ahead of Bayer Leverkusen.
Gerald Asamoah, a former Schalke star, remains unshaken in his belief that Bayern will clinch the crown, even as injuries pile up for the Bavarian giants.
“Dramatic dimensions have now reached the misery at FC Bayern Munich,” wrote Asamoah in his Kicker column reported by world football. “Above all, because Alphonso Davies’s failures, Dayot Upamecano, Manuel Neuer and now also Hiroki it all affect a team part – the defense.”
“Nevertheless: FC Bayern will no longer let the championship be taken. This club is simply too willful and experienced that he is even more seven points – due to the significantly better goal difference, he still has seven points before the end,” he added.
“This time it is Bayern who have to present – this is not an easy task in Augsburg. Leverkusen follows in Heidenheim on Saturday. Clearly that Bayer 04 is the favorite,” said Asamoah.
