Geoffrey Kondogbia, closely pursued by AS Monaco since the beginning of the transfer window, appears to be on the brink of joining the club.
The Franco-Central African midfielder is expected to find out on Tuesday whether the Principality club will activate his release clause. All signs point towards AS Monaco being in a favorable position to secure the U20 world champion, even though he recently resumed training with Sevilla FC.
According to RMC, the decision has been made by the Monegasque leaders to pay the midfielder’s release clause. AS Monaco will need to shell out 20 million euros to secure the services of the talented player. Barring an unexpected turn of events, a 5-year contract is set to await Kondogbia on the Rock.
