Genoa target unattached Dutch-Nigerian right-back Kingsley Ehizibue

Kingsley Ehizibue, the Dutch-Nigerian right-back currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Genoa in Serie A.

The 31-year-old became unattached after leaving Udinese on 1 July 2026, having spent almost four seasons with the Italian club. His reported market value is €2m, although no transfer fee or contract terms have been attached to the rumour.

Ehizibue joined Udinese from German side 1. FC Koln in August 2022 for €1.5m. He had previously played in the Netherlands for PEC Zwolle, where he came through the club’s youth system before establishing himself in senior football.

A right-back who prefers his right foot, Ehizibue has made 115 Serie A appearances, scoring four goals and providing two assists. He also recorded 69 Bundesliga appearances during his spell with Koln, contributing one goal and three assists.

The potential move would keep Ehizibue in Italy as he searches for his next club. Genoa’s interest has emerged while the defender remains unattached, but the proposed transfer has not been confirmed.
