Gaziantep FK signs Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng

Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng has officially joined Turkish side Gaziantep FK on a 1.5-year deal.

The highly anticipated transfer was sealed at a signing ceremony attended by Gaziantep FK President Memik Yılmaz, where the club introduced their newest addition to the squad.

In a statement, the club expressed excitement over the acquisition, saying: “We welcome Emmanuel Boateng to our club and wish him great success under our crest.”

Born in Accra, Ghana, on May 23, 1996, Boateng’s football journey began with Charity Stars in his home country. His career quickly took off with moves to European clubs like Rio Ave and Moreirense before making headlines with a €11 million transfer to Levante in 2017. Boateng later showcased his skills in China with DL Yifang and returned to Rio Ave in 2022 before playing for Al-Orobah.

Known for his dribbling, ball control, and finishing prowess, Boateng has scored 54 goals and provided 24 assists in 260 matches. The Ghana international, capped 7 times, is set to begin training immediately as Gaziantep FK eyes his impact in the upcoming games.
