Galatasaray weigh move for Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr
Pape Matar Sarr, the Senegal midfielder at Tottenham, has been linked with a move to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.
Sarr, 23, remains under contract with Tottenham until 30 June 2030, meaning any transfer would require an agreement between the clubs. No fee or probability has been attached to the reported interest.
The midfielder has made 107 Premier League appearances for Tottenham, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists. He joined the club from FC Metz in August 2021 for a reported €16.9m, initially returning to the French side on loan before completing the move the following year.
Sarr has also played twice for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, appearing in 17% of his side’s available minutes without starting either match. He was part of Tottenham’s Europa League-winning squad in the 2024-25 season.
Galatasaray are the club currently associated with a move, but the report does not indicate that formal negotiations have begun. Sarr’s long-term contract leaves Tottenham in a strong position should the Turkish club pursue the player.
