Roberto Mancini, the former coach of Manchester City, has officially been named as the new coach of Galatasaray since last weekend. In a press conference on Tuesday evening, Mancini addressed his arrival with the Turkish club and acknowledged the challenging task ahead.
Expressing his awareness of the difficulties, Mancini stated, “It’s going to be a tough task, but I don’t feel the pressure. I’m glad to be here. The supporters are responding. The discussions started four or five days ago, everything went very quickly.”
Galatasaray has faced challenges in the early stages of the season, with a notable 1-6 defeat at home against Real Madrid during the first day of the Champions League group matches when the team was led by Fatih Terim. Mancini will have his first significant test as Galatasaray’s coach as the team faces Juventus in the second day of the Champions League.
