Galatasaray negotiating with Bayern Munich to lower Sacha Boey’s transfer fee
Galatasaray SK are preparing to open fresh negotiations with FC Bayern Munich over the future of France-born defender of Cameroonian descent, Sacha Boey, as the Turkish giants seek to reduce the €15 million price tag attached to the defender.
Boey, currently on loan in Istanbul, has rediscovered his best form since returning to familiar surroundings, quickly becoming an important figure once again. While it initially appeared that Galatasaray would activate the purchase option included in the deal, the club is now reconsidering the financial terms.
Reports indicate that Galatasaray remain keen to retain the right-back beyond the summer but are unwilling to meet the full valuation set by Bayern. Instead, they are expected to push for a reduced transfer fee, with the possibility of extending the loan also under consideration if negotiations prove challenging.
For Bayern, the situation seems increasingly straightforward. After struggling to make an impact in Munich due to injuries and inconsistent opportunities, Boey has fallen out of the club’s long-term plans. His revival in Turkey has only strengthened the likelihood of a permanent exit.
As the summer window approaches, discussions between the two clubs are expected to intensify, with the final outcome likely to depend on whether a compromise can be reached over the transfer fee
