Galatasaray named as possible destination for Ibrahim Maza

Algerian-German midfielder Ibrahim Maza, currently with Bayer Leverkusen, has been linked with a move to Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined Leverkusen on 1 July 2025 and remains under contract with the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2030. The reported interest therefore concerns a player tied to Leverkusen for the long term rather than one approaching the end of his deal.

Maza has made four appearances for Leverkusen in the current campaign, starting each match and playing 98% of the available minutes. He has not scored or provided an assist in those games.

The Berlin-born player has made 30 Bundesliga appearances in total, contributing four goals and five assists. He has also played 12 times in the Champions League, recording two assists, while his domestic record includes four goals in seven DFB-Pokal appearances.

Maza is listed as an attacking midfielder and favours his right foot. His market value is currently assessed at €45m, a figure that underlines the scale of any potential deal should Galatasaray’s reported interest develop into formal negotiations.

For now, Maza remains a Leverkusen player, with his contract scheduled to run until the end of June 2030.
