Galatasaray has parted ways with coach Fatih Terim following a disappointing start to the season and a notable defeat at home against Real Madrid (1-6) in the Champions League. The club’s board of directors met for two hours on Tuesday afternoon and decided to terminate Terim’s contract.
Reports suggest that Roberto Mancini, the former coach of Manchester City, is being considered as Terim’s replacement. Mancini has been without a coaching position since his dismissal from Manchester City and is now reportedly in talks with Galatasaray to take over the managerial role.
Fatih Terim, who returned to Galatasaray in the summer of 2011, also serves as the coach of the Turkish national team.
