Galatasaray eye loan move for Franco-Ivorian forward Elye Wahi
Galatasaray are looking to secure the loan signing of France-born forward of Ivorian descent, Elye Wahi, ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Turkish giants want to augment their squad in the upcoming window and keen on adding the 22-year-old attacker to their ranks in January. Galatasaray intends to take the forward, who plies his trade for Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with an option to buy.
Meanwhile, the German outfit are only willing to agree to a loan deal without a subsequent sale. Elie Wahi joined Eintracht this January from Marseille for €26 million and has since established himself as a key member of the team.
His outstanding performance has not gone unnoticed, with several clubs expressing interest in the talented forward.
This season, the 22-year-old forward has made 25 appearances for the Frankfurt side, scoring once and providing three assists. Wahi’s current contract with Eintracht runs until 2030.
Despite featuring for France at all youth levels, the enterprising attacker remains eligible to represent Ivory Coast at the international level.
