Basel linked with move for Modena full-back Gady Beyuku
Basel are being linked with a move for Modena right-back Gady Beyuku, with the transfer rated at a 63% probability by online database Transfermarkt.
The 19-year-old defender, who represents both France and DR Congo at youth level, is emerging as a target for the Swiss Super League side as they look to strengthen at the back. Current club Modena, competing in Italy’s Serie B, face the prospect of growing interest after Beyuku’s market value rose sharply to €1.50m in June 2025.
Transfermarkt lists no contract expiry date for the full-back at Modena, leaving his precise contractual situation unclear and fuelling speculation that Basel could try to negotiate a relatively affordable deal or monitor his status closely should he edge towards potential free agency in future.
Beyuku only joined Modena in July 2024 from Triestina Primavera, having previously come through the youth ranks at Football Club 93 Bobigny U19 and FC Versailles 78 U19 in France. Standing at 1.88m and preferring to operate on the right side of defence, he has been noted for his rapid rise in valuation, climbing from €50,000 at Triestina to his current €1.50m mark within a year.
Born in Clichy-la-Garenne on 23 November 2005, Beyuku is viewed as one of the more intriguing young full-backs to emerge from the French system in recent seasons, and a move to Basel would offer him a first taste of top-flight football in the Swiss Super League – a step that could prove pivotal in shaping his reputation and long-term career trajectory if the transfer does go through.
