Gabonese defender Marcus Mombo undergoing trials in France in search of a club
Young Gabonese left-back Marcus Mombo is actively seeking a new club after departing his homeland.
At just 21 years old, Mombo is determined to secure his first opportunity in European football.
The former Lozosport player recently underwent trials in Eastern Europe, though the efforts did not yield the desired outcome. Undeterred, Mombo has now shifted his focus to France, where he is trialling with clubs in National 1 and National 2, aiming to impress and earn a contract.
According to Gaboneco, Mombo’s agent has confirmed his client’s participation in training sessions with French clubs but refrained from disclosing their identities. The representative expressed optimism, emphasizing Mombo’s commitment to succeeding in his European football aspirations.
As a promising talent with experience in Gabon’s top flight, Mombo is eager to adapt to the demands of European football.
His trials in France mark a crucial step in his journey to establish himself on the international stage.
