Gabonese international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has achieved a significant milestone, becoming the fifth player to score ten or more goals in a single season for Al-Qadisiyah in the Saudi Professional League.
The former Chelsea and Barcelona star was on target when Al-Qadisiyah inflicted a 2-0 win over Al-Raed in the top-flight.
Aubameyang scored a wonderful goal with a header before the interval, raising his tally to 10 goals in the Roshen League this season.
The forward has now equaled Nigerian John Gambo (2010-2011) and Brazilian Bismarck Ferreira in the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons.
Hassan Al-Amri is Al-Qadisiyah’s historical top scorer in one season, with 12 goals during the 2020-2021 version, followed by Mexican Julian Quinones, the team’s current star, who scored 11 goals.
It is noteworthy that Al-Qadisiyah raised its score to 41 points in third place in the Roshen League standings, outperforming Al-Nasr by 3 points.
