Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaves Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah FC
Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has parted ways with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Qadsiah FC after just a single season at the club.
The 36-year-old former Arsenal and Chelsea forward featured in 51 matches across all competitions, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists.
His contributions were pivotal in helping Al-Qadsiah secure a fourth-place finish in the Saudi top flight and reach the final of the King’s Cup, where they narrowly lost to Al-Ittihad.
Aubameyang terminated his contract prematurely and is currently a free agent. Reports suggest he could be on his way back to France to continue his career.
“Thank you, Oba, for every moment, every goal, every roar,” Al-Qadsiah wrote in a farewell message on X. “From the pitch to our hearts — farewell, Auba. You gave it your all.”
Prior to his move to Saudi Arabia, Aubameyang enjoyed a prolific spell with Marseille. In his lone season with Al-Qadsiah, he amassed 21 goals and three assists in 36 matches, playing a key role in their impressive league finish.
