Gabon star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has preference to rejoin French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Marseille in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 36-year-old is set to depart Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah after just a year spell at the club, with a host of clubs yearning for his signature.
Despite an impressive goal record in the Gulf State, having scored 21 in 36 games, he has been pushed towards a departure, and a contract termination appears imminent.
Aubameyang left Marseille last summer to join Al-Qadsiah following an impressive performance in France, where he scored 30 goals and registered 11 assists in 51 games across competitions.
According to reports, the Gabon international has prioritized a return to Marseille in his negotiations with European clubs, as he nears Al-Qadsiah departure.
Despite considering offers from the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia (with Al-Ettifaq in the running), talks between Marseille and he experienced forward is currently in the right direction.
Marseille have pounced on the opportunity and are reportedly in advanced discussions with their former player, tabling a two-year offer for the forward.
