It’s official! The elections for the presidency of the Gabonese Football Federation (Fegafoot), initially slated for March 30, 2014, will now feature a head-to-head contest between two candidates: Pierre Alain Mounguengui and Jean De Dieu Moukagni Iwangou.
Having previously faced off in the last election, which was later annulled, both candidates will once again vie for the presidency. Following the deadline of February 28, they were the only candidates approved by the Fegafoot Standardization Committee, their applications deemed compliant with the governing body’s new statutes.
With both candidates cleared to run, the vote is set to proceed in a month’s time under the supervision of FIFA.
