The Gabonese professional championship started on Friday. For this first professional championship, the Gabonese state “disbursed the amount of 10 billion CFA francs to launch and support the professionalization of the national elite championship which is starting with 14 teams,” recalled Linaf president Joel Birinda.
As the curtain rises, last season’s champion, CF Mounana, meets its runner-up Union Sportive de Bitam.
