The Gabonese Football Federation (Fegafoot) announced on Tuesday the number of applications received for the positions of national team coach and technical director, following the expiration of the tender on Monday.
A total of 82 candidates have applied for the role of head coach. This group includes 14 Africans (four of them Gabonese), 62 Europeans, five South Americans, and one North American, all vying to take charge of the Gabonese national team, the Panthers.
For the position of Technical Director (DTN), 19 applications were received, comprising 10 Africans (including eight Gabonese) and nine Europeans.
Gabonese authorities hope to finalize their selection and announce the new national team coach, who will succeed Daniel Cousin, by the end of May.
