At the conclusion of a women’s football coaching course, FEGAFOOT (Gabonese Football Federation) awarded diplomas to 28 participants. The two-week seminar focused on a combination of theoretical and practical training. Geneviève Assangono Olui, the representative of the trainees, shared recommendations, including the organization of a national women’s football championship, the establishment of a women’s football league, and the creation of a football school managed by women. The 1st vice-president of FEGAFOOT assured that these recommendations would be considered, and he mentioned that the creation of a national women’s football league is in the works. The instructor from the Confederation of African Football, Madame Minang Bérengère, sees this as the beginning of a new phase for the development of women’s football.
