FUS Rabat sign Angolan-Portuguese winger Anderson Cruz on free transfer

Angolan-Portuguese winger Anderson Cruz has joined Moroccan club FUS Rabat from Petro Luanda on a free transfer, completing his move on 14 September 2026.

The 30-year-old has signed for the Botola Pro Inwi side after leaving Petro Luanda, where he had played since returning to the Angolan club in 2023. Cruz operates primarily on the left wing and is left-footed.

Cruz was born in Luanda and has represented both Angola and Portugal as his nationalities. He began his senior career in Portugal, moving from Real SC Under-19s to Lourel Under-19s before joining Varzim’s youth structure. He later moved into senior football with Varzim B and Ourense.

His career has included a number of spells in Portugal and Spain. Cruz joined Bouzas from Ourense in August 2017 and moved to Alaves the following January. During his time with Alaves, he spent periods on loan at NK Rudes and FC Sochaux before joining CF Fuenlabrada on loan in July 2019.

A move to Bolivia followed in September 2020, when Cruz left Alaves to join Bolivar. He returned to Portugal in January 2021 to sign for Rio Ave, before moving to Petro Luanda on loan in January 2022. That spell became a permanent transfer in July 2023 after his loan period ended.

Cruz now returns to north-west Africa with FUS Rabat, who compete in Morocco’s top flight. The move also places him within a squad involved in the 2026-27 CAF Champions League, although he had not made an appearance in the competition before the transfer.

His most recent recorded market value was €100,000, while his highest recorded value was €300,000. Cruz stands 1.75m tall and brings experience from clubs in Angola, Portugal, Spain, Bolivia and Morocco.

The transfer represents another change of club for Cruz after three seasons with Petro Luanda, and his arrival gives FUS Rabat an experienced left-sided attacking player. The free transfer was completed on 14 September 2026.
