FUS Rabat bring Morocco goalkeeper Mehdi Bellarabi back to the capital
Mehdi Bellarabi has returned to FUS Rabat, with the Morocco goalkeeper joining from JS Soualem on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old completed the move on 23 August 2026 and will continue his career in the Botola Pro Inwi with the club where he previously played. Bellarabi’s arrival gives FUS Rabat an experienced goalkeeper who already knows the club’s structure and surroundings.
Bellarabi left FUS Rabat for JS Soualem on 21 January 2025, also on a free transfer. His spell away from the Rabat side lasted until his return at the start of the 2026-27 season, bringing him back to the club after more than a year with Soualem.
The goalkeeper first entered the FUS system with the club’s under-19 side in July 2018. He subsequently moved to FUS Espoirs in January 2021 before progressing to FUS Rabat later that year. His route through the club’s youth and development teams preceded his initial move to JS Soualem.
Bellarabi’s return represents another step in a career spent entirely in Moroccan football. He has played for FUS Rabat, JS Soualem, FUS Espoirs and FUS U19, with each of those clubs forming part of his progression since 2018.
The transfer was completed without a fee, and no contract expiry date has been announced. Bellarabi is now registered as a FUS Rabat player after switching from JS Soualem.
