Fulham are on the brink of securing the services of England-born Ghanaian forward Tyrique George from Chelsea in the current transfer window.
George, who has both Ghanaian and Nigerian heritage, is regarded as one of the most promising young wingers to emerge from Chelsea’s youth system.
Following an agreement between both parties, the talented attacker, who is seeking for first-team opportunity this season is expected to a seal permanent move to Fulham before the closure of the transfer window.
The 19-year-old is joining Fulham on a five-year deal worth £22million plus a sell-on clause. George will undergo his mandatory medical on Monday before putting pen to paper for the Premier League club.
George made his first appearance of the season for Chelsea last Saturday after climbing off the bench to replace Liam Delap following an injury setback.
George enjoyed a breakout 2024-25 under manager Enzo Maresca, featuring 26 times in all competitions and scoring three goals.
He played in every game of Chelsea’s Conference League campaign, except the final against Real Betis. George joined Chelsea at under-8 level and has progressed through the ranks.
The Englishman was part of the team which won the Under-18 Premier League South title in 2023-24 and has been capped by his country up to under-19 level, though was named in Lee Carsley’s Under-21 squad for the coming international break.
