Fulham are closing in on a deal to sign Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze on loan from AC Milan, with the winger travelling to London to complete a medical ahead of a potential deadline-day move.

The Premier League side, who have made just one signing during the summer transfer window, are pushing to strengthen their attacking options before the market closes on Monday evening.

Fulham have already secured an agreement to bring in Shakhtar Donetsk’s winger Kevin, who is also in London preparing to finalise his transfer.

Marco Silva’s side are determined to add another wide player to the squad after the departures of Willian and Reiss Nelson at the end of last season. According to Sky Sports News, Fulham are now in advanced negotiations with AC Milan over a season-long loan for Chukwueze, who has been a long-term target for the club.

Journalist Pete Rutzler has reported that Chukwueze is on his way to London, though Fulham must first reach a final agreement with Milan before the transfer can be officially confirmed.

The window closes at 7pm on Monday, leaving both clubs working against the clock to conclude the deal.

Chukwueze, 26, made his name at Villarreal, scoring 37 goals and registering 29 assists in 207 appearances for the Spanish club before joining AC Milan in 2023.

However, he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at San Siro, featuring 70 times in all competitions but largely operating as a squad player.

His prospects have diminished further following the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri, who has named the Nigerian winger in just one of his first three matchday squads since taking charge.

A move to Fulham now offers Chukwueze a chance to secure consistent game time and test himself in the Premier League.

Should the deal be finalised, Chukwueze would join a Fulham attack already featuring fellow Nigerian international Alex Iwobi, as well as Harry Wilson and Adama Traoré.

Kevin’s imminent arrival would also bolster Silva’s options on the flanks, giving the manager a refreshed forward line as Fulham prepare for a demanding campaign.

With negotiations ongoing, all parties are aiming to complete the transfer before Monday’s deadline, as Fulham look to strengthen their squad depth and add more creativity in the final third.
