Uganda to Face Ethiopia in Friendly Ahead of Crucial AFCON Qualifiers
To build momentum ahead of the decisive final two matchdays in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Uganda will take on Ethiopia in an international friendly. The fixture, reported by local site Kawowo.com, is designed to help the Cranes prepare for their high-stakes fixtures against Ghana and Guinea.
After suffering two successive 1-0 defeats to Togo in matchdays 3 and 4, Uganda’s chances of reaching the continental stage for the first time since 1978 now rest on securing back-to-back wins:
vs. Ghana in Kampala on November 15
vs. Guinea in Casablanca, Morocco on November 19
Head coach Micho Sredojevic has named a 26-man squad for what is being called “Operation AFCON 2015.”
