Morocco Dominates in Friendlies as 2015 AFCON Preparations Continue
As hosts of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco remains exempt from the qualification rounds and is making the most of a string of friendly matches to fine-tune its squad. Under head coach Badou Zaki, the Atlas Lions have shown impressive form in recent outings.
Friday: Morocco defeated the Central African Republic 4-0, showcasing fluid attacking play and solid defense.
Sunday: A locally-based Moroccan selection thrashed Mauritania 5-0, further underlining the team’s depth and readiness.
Monday: The Lions wrapped up their trio of matches with a 3-0 victory over Kenya, thanks to goals from El Mehdi Karnass, Mbark Boussoufa (penalty), and Mouhcine Iajour.
