Just 48 hours after clinching the Togolese league title, Semassi FC of Sokodé is already shifting focus to the CAF Champions League, and their first step is a high-profile international friendly.
The Togolese champions have invited Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko to play a friendly match this Sunday in Togo, as part of their preparation campaign. The game, confirmed by Ghanaian website allsports.com.gh, will mark an important test for the Tchaoudjo Warriors.

“We received an invitation from Semassi, the Togolese champion club, and we will play against them on Sunday.”
Kotoko’s delegation is set to travel overland to Togo on Saturday, and the friendly will be followed by more matches in neighboring Benin, as the Kumasi-based club builds up to the start of the Ghanaian league season.
Initially, the plan was to hold the first leg in Kumasi, but Semassi requested to host the first match in Togo, with the return fixture to be played in Ghana.
