The friendly match scheduled to take place in France on March 5 between Mali and Senegal faced some obstacles due to a delay in contacting the French Football Federation. However, according to Augustin Senghor, the president of the Senegalese Federation, the situation is on track to be resolved.
“We have obtained the necessary authorization from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the International Football Federation and Association (FIFA). Regarding the paperwork submitted to the French federation, we are nearly at the final stage,” he revealed.
He further added, “According to the latest information provided by the agent handling the matter for the FSF and Mali, the French side has already designated French international referees who will officiate the match.”
If everything proceeds as planned, the match will indeed take place on French soil as originally intended.
