The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has announced a list of 36 players called up to face Slovenia in a friendly match scheduled for March 5, marking the first preparation meeting for the 2014 World Cup. Notable inclusions are the first selections of Zinedinne Ferhat and Nabil Bentaleb.
Bentaleb, the Tottenham midfielder, has opted to represent Algeria after being pursued by both France and England. Additionally, Ryad Boudebouz makes a return to the squad after being at odds with coach Vahid Halilhodzic for several months. Sofiane Feghouli’s presence was confirmed a few days ago.
