France international Wissam Ben Yedder has completed a move to Morocco football heavyweights, Wydad AC in the winter transfer window.
The former Sevilla star joins the Moroccan giants until the end of the season, bringing an end to his spell with Turkish lower-tier club, Sakaryaspor.
Ben Yedder departs the Turkish club just four months after his arrival, having already informed the club’s hierarchy about his desire to leave in the winter window for a new challenge.
During his four month spell, Ben Yedder racked up 14 matches for the Turkish team in the second division, scoring five goals across the period.
Out of the 14 matches, the France international started eight and made six substitute appearance for the Turkish outfit in the ongoing campaign.
Ben Yedder began his football career at Saint-Denis in France before moving to Alfortville and then to Toulouse.
After spells in France, the experienced forward departed to join Spanish outfit Sevilla in summer 2016 for 9.5 million euros and made a good account of himself.
Monaco managed to sign Ben Yedder for 40 million euros in the summer of 2019 and remained at the club until his contract expired in the summer of 2024
He then moved to the Iranian league with Sepahan Isfahan in 2025, but he did not stay long before moving to his current Turkish club. Ben Yedder won the French League top scorer award for the 2019-2020 season with 18 goals.
