French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana ahead of the upcoming season.
The Cameroon international joined United in the summer of 2023 from Inter Milan and has since made 72 Premier League appearances, recording 18 clean sheets.
However, his time at Old Trafford has been marred by a series of high-profile mistakes that have contributed to the club’s disappointing campaign, with United currently languishing in 15th place.
According to French outlet L’Équipe, Monaco have identified Onana as a potential solution to their goalkeeping issues, following inconsistent displays from Radoslav Majecki and Philippe Köhn last season.
Monaco CEO Tiago Scuro has confirmed that strengthening the goalkeeping department is a priority in the summer transfer window.
In addition to Onana, the club is also monitoring Serbian goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, who performed well during his loan spell at Strasbourg but is reportedly not in Chelsea’s plans for the 2025/26 season.
Monaco’s interest in Onana coincides with anticipated changes at Manchester United, as new manager Ruben Amorim looks to overhaul the squad following a troubled season.
