French outfit Lille in talks to sign Franco-Congolese defender Bradley Locko
Lille have opened talks to secure the signature of France international of Congolese descent Bradley Locko in the current transfer window.
The French Ligue outfit are in the market for a new left-back following the departure of Ismaily and Gabriel Gudmundsson, with Locko emerging as a priority target.
The 23-year-old defender, who is in the books of Stade Brest is considered as one of the best left-backs in the Ligue 1 following a solid display during the 2023/24 season.
However, he missed almost the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign after suffering an ACL injury in pre-season. Prior to that injury, he had been heavily linked with a move away from Brest.
Locko could be on the move this time around, with Lille pushing to capture his signature before the start of the new season.
Whilst Brest are trying to extend his current deal, which expires in 2027, Lille have opened talks with the Breton club. Brest are asking for a fee of around €10m and Locko himself is open to a move to Les Dogues.
Locko has been in the books of Stade Brest since 2023 and has been an integral member of the squad.
At 23, the enterprising left-back has capped three times for the France national team since marking his debut in July 2024.
