Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that defender Leny Yoro is set to return for the upcoming Premier League match against Everton.
Yoro, an 19-year-old French center-back of Ivorian descent, has been sidelined in recent weeks, last playing for United on the 7th of February 2025.
He missed the game against Tottenham which the Red Devils lost 1-0 in the Premier League.
His recovery and readiness to play come as a significant boost to the team, especially with other key players still on the injury list.
“Yes [better week] because we didn’t lose players, Chris [Eriksen], Manu [Manuel Ugarte] and Leny [Yoro] will return,” manager Ruben Amorim said ahead of the game against Everton.
“It’s hard to know, Amad is for a long time, Mase [Mount] continues to recover, Luke [Shaw]continues to recover and I don’t have a day.
“Toby seems to be the closest one but now now. Kobbie [Mainoo] is recovering. Altay and Tom are recovering.”
Manchester United currently stands 15th in the Premier League table, making the upcoming match against Everton crucial for improving their position.
The return of Yoro and other key players is anticipated to enhance the team’s performance as they strive to climb the standings.
