France-born midfielder of Guinean descent, Aladji Bamba, has signed a new deal with AS Monaco that keeps him at the club until 2030.

The 19-year-old, whose previous deal was set to expire in 2027, has been rewarded for his impressive progress and breakthrough into the first team this season.

“AS Monaco is pleased to announce a contract extension for Aladji Bamba. The 19-year-old French midfielder, who came through the Academy, is now tied to the Principality club until June 30, 2030,” the French club announced on Thursday.

Bamba, along with Joan Tincres and Dan Sinaté, signed his first professional contract with Monaco in February 2024 and has since established himself as one of the club’s most promising young talents.

Following the departure of Soungoutou Magassa and injuries to key midfielders, Bamba seized his opportunity to shine, featuring in both Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League before a minor injury briefly sidelined him.

The France U20 international has now returned to full training during the international break and is expected to be available for Monaco’s upcoming clash against SCO Angers.

His new long-term contract is seen as a clear sign of confidence from the club’s management in his growing importance to the team.
