Juventus have confirmed the permanent signing of French defender Pierre Kalulu following a successful loan spell during the 2024/25 season.
The club has triggered the purchase option agreed last summer, finalising the transfer from AC Milan for a reported €14.3 million, with an additional €3 million in performance-related bonuses.
Kalulu, 25, has committed to the Bianconeri on a long-term deal that will keep him in Turin until June 2029.
The move follows a breakout season for the former Lyon academy product, whose reliable performances across 39 appearances in all competitions helped solidify Juventus’ defensive core.
The Frenchman notably found the net in a decisive fixture against Atalanta, further cementing his importance to the squad.
His form throughout the campaign earned him widespread praise and quickly convinced the Juventus hierarchy to activate the clause for a full transfer.
“Kalulu has been nothing short of exceptional for us this season,” a club official was quoted as saying. “His adaptability, tactical discipline, and drive match perfectly with what we expect from a Juventus player.”
Kalulu’s journey has taken him from the youth ranks of Olympique Lyonnais to a key role at AC Milan, and now a permanent place in the Juventus setup.
His development has been steady and purposeful, with the move to Juventus proving pivotal in unlocking his full potential.
Now on international duty with the French national team for the Nations League Final Four, Kalulu will link back up with Juventus later this month as the club begins preparations for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
The tournament is set to kick off in approximately ten days, offering Kalulu an opportunity to showcase his abilities on a global stage.
Juventus celebrated the announcement across their official channels, highlighting the defender’s impact and looking ahead to what the future holds with Kalulu in their ranks.
From a season-long audition to a long-term commitment, the defender’s trajectory reflects both his growing stature and the confidence Juventus have placed in him.
With a contract running until 2029, Pierre Kalulu now has the platform and stability to further elevate his career in the black and white of Turin.
