French-Congolese forward Jean Philippe Mateta open to Crystal Palace departure amid AC Milan interest

France forward of Congolese descent, Jean Philippe Mateta, is reportedly open to leaving Crystal Palace this summer.

This comes amid interest from several clubs in the services of the striker.

It is understood that Jean Philippe Mateta is hoping to move to a bigger club to boost his chances of making the France national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Among the clubs interested in the attacker, Italian Serie A side AC Milan is leading the race for the forward.

Crystal Palace will not stand in the way of Jean Philippe Mateta’s move this summer. However, the club is demanding a fee of €30 million (£26 million).

AC Milan may find it difficult to meet the asking price, but it hopes to come to a compromise with Crystal Palace.

For now, the striker is happy at Crystal Palace and does not plan to force his way out of the club.

He will only move if interested clubs can agree with his club.
