French club Monaco express interest in Guinea-Bissau rooted forward Ansu Fati

French giants AS Monaco have expressed interest in Spanish international of Guinea-Bissau descent Ansu Fati ahead of the summer transfer window.

Monaco are seeking to strengthen their squad for the new season, with the 22-year-old emerging as a target for the club.

Fati was limited to only six appearances at Barcelona in the La Liga this season due to persistent injury setbacks.

Monaco have stepped up to snap up the talented forward, who is under contract until 2027. Despite their interest, the French outfit has yet to submit official offer for the attacker.

Despite being under contract, the Spanish outfit could cash in on the Spanish-Guinea Bissau youngster this summer.

But it is unknown whether Fati will accept a move away from Barcelona, having reiterated desire to fight for his place at the club.

Ansu Fati had a brilliant start to his career at Barcelona until injury struck him down, undermining his progress.
