Kylian Mbappé will miss the next 10 days due to a muscle injury, according to reports from Cope’s Arancha Rodriguez.
The French-Cameroonian forward, whose mother is from Algeria, suffered the injury during Real Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
After scoring his 50th career goal in the competition, Mbappé left the match in the 35th minute, appearing to have a hamstring issue. He managed to walk off the pitch but showed signs of discomfort.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti noted that Mbappé’s injury does not seem serious but acknowledged the need for further evaluation.
This setback comes at a crucial time as Mbappé was regaining his form, having scored in consecutive matches. With Vinicius and Rodrygo returning from their injuries, Ancelotti has options to fill the gap left by Mbappé.
The injury raises concerns for upcoming matches, including a La Liga clash against Rayo Vallecano and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup final on December 18.
As Real Madrid navigates a busy schedule, they must adapt without their star forward while hoping for a swift recovery.
