French-Algerian midfielder Yacine Adli set for Al Shabab move from AC Milan
French-Algerian midfielder Yacine Adli is on the verge of leaving AC Milan after the Serie A giants reached an agreement with Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab.
Born in France to Algerian parents, Adli has been weighing his international future while steadily building his career in Europe.
Now, the 25-year-old appears ready for a major career shift to the Middle East, where financial terms dwarf what he currently earns in Italy.
According to reports in Italy, Milan and Al Shabab have settled on the framework of a deal, with only Adli’s approval needed to complete the move.
The midfielder has been offered a three-year contract worth around €7 million per season—nearly three times his present wages at San Siro.
For Milan, Adli’s potential departure represents a notable change in their midfield plans. He joined the Rossoneri from Bordeaux in 2021 and, despite early challenges in securing a starting role, showed steady progress last season under Stefano Pioli.
However, the financial incentives of the Saudi Pro League have proven difficult for European clubs to resist, with Milan likely to view the deal as both profitable and practical.
The Saudi transfer window remains open until September 11, giving Adli a few more days to finalize his decision. If he accepts, he would join a growing list of young talents moving to the Middle East, attracted by the financial packages and the league’s rising profile.
