French forward of Algerian descent Rayan Cherki has revealed that he wants to develop further during his time at Manchester City.
The 22-year-old in the last few years has established himself as one of the most talented youngsters in the world.
After an outstanding campaign with Olympique Lyon in the 2024/25 football season, Rayan Cherki has been recruited by Manchester City to augment their squad.
Speaking in his first interview after signing for the club, the youngster said he is eager to develop further at the club.
“I have worked so hard for this all my life. I love this sport, and I can’t wait to develop further here in Manchester with Pep and his backroom staff.
“Everyone knows how good City are – they have been so successful for many years now. The responsibility to help the team continue winning is something I want to embrace,” Rayan Cherki said.
The talented forward continued, “I would only leave Lyon for a project I really believe in and everything at City suggests I can develop my game and help the team be successful in the future.
“I can’t wait to show City fans what I can do.”
Cherki has joined Manchester City with a lot of expectations and must work hard to meet them.
