Guingamp defender Sohaib Naïr has signed a contract extension, committing his future to the club until 2027.

The Ligue 2 side confirmed the deal, securing the services of the 22-year-old French-Algerian, who has become an integral part of the squad since joining from Toulouse in 2021.

Naïr has made 17 league appearances this season, along with three outings in the Coupe de France.

His journey with Guingamp began with the club’s reserve team in National 2, where he featured in 15 matches last season before earning his place in the senior squad.

“The former captain of the reserve team has made a name for himself among the professionals, establishing himself through his solidity and his involvement on and off the pitch.

Since his promotion to the first team, Sohaib has demonstrated consistency and maturity, becoming an important player for the future of the club,” the club stated.

Currently sitting sixth in Ligue 2, Guingamp continues to build for the future, with Naïr set to play a key role in their ambitions.
