Lyon’s Rayan Cherki is making his mark in the race for Europe’s top assist provider, joining an elite group of creative forces in the 2024/25 season.
The French-Algerian playmaker has now racked up seven assists, putting him in the conversation alongside some of the biggest stars.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah leads the way with 14 assists, continuing to shine at Anfield, while Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, and Fulham’s Antonee Robinson each have 10. Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz sit just behind with nine.
Lazio’s Nuno Tavares and Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga have provided eight assists each, while Cherki is among a talented chasing pack with Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Freiburg’s Vincenzo Grifo, Werder Bremen’s Marvin Ducksch, and PSG’s Joao Neves, all tallying seven.
With Lyon looking to climb the Ligue 1 table, Cherki’s creativity could prove crucial as he continues to deliver for his teammates. If his form holds, he may yet climb further in the rankings of Europe’s finest playmakers.
