Freedom Mungudit: Ugandan winger joins Mukura Victory on free transfer

Ugandan winger Freedom Mungudit has joined Rwandan side Mukura Victory on a free transfer from Uganda Premier League club Lugazi. The 20-year-old right-sided attacker has signed a contract with the Huye-based team running until 30 June 2028.

Mungudit makes the move after establishing himself in Uganda’s top flight, where he has already accumulated 56 league appearances. Operating primarily as a right winger, he scored five goals and provided three assists in the Uganda Premier League, amassing more than 4,000 minutes of senior football before his switch across the border.

The transfer marks Mungudit’s first move away from Lugazi, the club where he began his professional career and remained until this summer. His most recent registration change in 2024 saw him stay with Lugazi, but he has now opted for a new challenge with Mukura Victory, who compete in Rwanda’s top tier.

Mungudit’s current market valuation is listed at €225,000, underlining his growing standing after consistent involvement at senior level in Uganda. His arrival adds a natural right-wing option to Mukura Victory’s attacking department as they build for the coming campaigns.

The deal, completed on 17 July 2026, sees Mungudit commit to Mukura Victory until 2028 following his free transfer departure from Lugazi.
