Free State Stars played to a goalless draw against Platinum Stars on the 4th day of the South African Premier Soccer League this Saturday. The team, featuring Togolese players Ouro Akoriko Sadat and Abraw Calmadine, faced difficulty in securing a victory against their opponent.
Having missed the start of the championship, the Bethlehem club is determined not to lose points, with the players adopting the mindset of either winning or drawing. Abraw Calmadine expressed this perspective, stating, “The championship is long, so all the points are good to take. If we don’t win, at least we shouldn’t lose. So draws are also important.” He further commented on the opponent’s performance, acknowledging their strong play on the ball and the tactical approach employed by their coach to disrupt the opponent’s game.
Abraw Calmadine, who joined Free State Stars during the last summer transfer window, is part of the team’s efforts to secure positive results in the league.
