Eintracht Frankfurt are preparing to make Noah Atubolu’s loan move from SC Freiburg permanent, with a purchase obligation worth between €12 million and €13 million expected to be activated this month.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper joined Frankfurt on loan in the summer of 2026 and has reportedly made a strong impression since arriving at the Bundesliga club.

According to Sky Sport, two conditions must be fulfilled before the permanent transfer can be triggered.

Two conditions for permanent transfer

Frankfurt must avoid relegation from the Bundesliga, while Atubolu must reach a specific number of appearances agreed in his contract.

The goalkeeper is expected to meet the appearance requirement in November.

Once both conditions are satisfied, Frankfurt will be obliged to pay between €12 million and €13 million to secure his permanent signing.

Long-term deal planned for Atubolu

The permanent transfer would see Atubolu commit his future to Frankfurt through a long-term contract.

Eintracht have already paid €1 million to secure his initial loan from Freiburg.
