Frank Magri: Free agent Cameroon-France striker linked with Nice move

Cameroon-France forward Frank Magri, currently without a club after leaving Toulouse this summer, is being linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Nice. The 26-year-old centre-forward is a free agent following the end of his spell with Toulouse, positioning him as a low-risk attacking option for a club seeking to reinforce its front line ahead of the new season.

Magri, born in Agen and 1.78m tall, has built his reputation in France across the top two tiers. He featured regularly in Ligue 1, making 77 appearances and scoring 15 goals, while also enjoying a prolific spell in Ligue 2 with 15 goals in 36 outings. His current market value is understood to be around €3m, but his free-agent status means any deal for Nice would focus on salary and bonuses rather than a transfer fee.

The forward moved to Toulouse from Bastia in July 2023 for a reported €2m fee after impressing in Corsica, and has also experienced European competition, registering a goal and an assist in the Europa League. His track record across the French pyramid, including productive spells in National 1 and National 2, underlines his familiarity with domestic football and adaptability to different levels.

Magri has been unattached since 1 July 2026, leaving him free to negotiate with interested clubs. With no contract tying him elsewhere, any agreement with Nice could be concluded outside of a traditional transfer window once terms are finalised.
