This Saturday, Anderlecht faces a challenge as they aim to secure three points against Kortrijk in the 25th day of the Belgian championship. However, they will have to do so without the services of Frank Acheampong, the speedy Ghanaian winger from Sporting Anderlecht.
Acheampong sustained an ankle injury during a friendly match against Aalst last Tuesday. While no fractures were detected, he has suffered torn ligaments. As a result, he will be sidelined for several weeks, missing not only the upcoming match against Kortrijk but also fixtures against Mons and Lokeren.
It’s estimated that Acheampong will be out of action for at least a month, posing a setback for Anderlecht as they navigate through the remainder of the championship.
