Marseille have received administrative clearance for head coach Habib Beye’s three assistant coaches to officially begin work, paving the way for the full implementation of his technical project at the club.

Per reports in France, Sébastien Bichard, Yann Cavezza and Olivier Saragaglia signed their contracts on Wednesday and are now authorized to operate with the first team.

The trio have already linked up with the squad at their mid-season training camp in Marbella, and will take their place on the bench for Sunday’s high-stakes “Olympico” clash against Olympique Lyonnais.

Beye had been awaiting final approval for his preferred backroom staff, with administrative delays temporarily preventing him from fully establishing his coaching structure. The clearance now allows Marseille to move forward with a unified technical team during a decisive stretch of the season.

Les Phocéens face a pivotal run of matches that could reshape their campaign. First comes the heavyweight duel with Lyon, a contest carrying major implications in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification.

That encounter will be followed by a Coupe de France quarter-final showdown against Toulouse FC next week — another fixture that could define Marseille’s ambitions both domestically and in Europe.

With silverware and continental qualification at stake, the timely arrival of Beye’s trusted lieutenants could provide the organisational clarity and tactical sharpness required in these pressure moments.

All three assistants previously worked under Beye at Stade Rennais F.C., and had been waiting for their contracts with their former club to be formally terminated before completing their move south.

Cavezza and Bichard also share history with Beye from their time together at Red Star FC between 2022 and 2024. Bichard later followed his own managerial path, overseeing a demanding campaign with Clermont Foot in Ligue 2.

Their reunion at Marseille signals Beye’s desire to surround himself with familiar, trusted collaborators as he seeks to impose his philosophy on the squad.

With the administrative hurdles now cleared, Marseille head into a defining week with their technical team finally complete — and their ambitions firmly intact.
