Franco-Nigerian midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka promises to give everything at Dortmund

France international of Nigerian descent Carney Chukwuemeka has promised to give his all in order to help Borussia Dortmund achieve their goals after switching from Premier League club, Chelsea.

The 21-year-old midfielder joins the Bundesliga giants on a permanent deal from Chelsea, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.

Chukwuemeka spent half of last season on loan at Dortmund, making 17 appearances and scoring just a goal across the period.

The midfielder joined Chelsea in summer 2022, but struggled to establish himself as a key member of the team, leading to his departure from the club.

“It feels really good to now be an integral part of BVB. I’ve gotten to know this club, the coach, my teammates, and the fans over the past few months, and I’m just happy that Borussia Dortmund is now my new footballing home.

“I will give everything I can to ensure that we achieve our goals as a team.” he added.

During his spell with Chelsea, the 21-year-old midfielder made 32 appearances, scoring two goals and providing just an assist.

With his wealth of experience in France and England, Chukwuemeka is expected to play a huge role for Dortmund as they seek to make a meaningful impact this season.
